The mission of the Modern Mystery School is to create World Peace by empowering individuals to find peace within themselves.
The Modern Mystery School is in service to all of humanity to assist in the ascension of the human consciousness on this planet. This is a mission the school and its lineage holders have been working towards for over 3,000 years. The purpose of the school is to help people achieve their highest spiritual potential in this physical life, while living a life of joy, fulfillment and love.
The school provides people with the tools and teachings they need in order to empower themselves and realize that they are their own greatest teacher, so that they may remember who they truly are.
Lineage
Lineage is one of the defining characteristics of an authentic Mystery School. It refers to the direct transmission of spiritual teachings, wisdom and initiations from teacher to student through an unbroken chain that has been carefully preserved over generations. This process ensures the integrity of the teachings and the energetic empowerment that accompanies them.
The Modern Mystery School holds an unbroken lineage that traces back more than 3,000 years to the Lineage of King Salomon. Through this lineage, the teachings, initiations and sacred tools have been preserved and passed forward with authenticity, allowing modern students to access a living tradition of spiritual development rather than a reconstructed philosophy.
Today, this lineage continues to be shared with sincere seekers who wish to awaken their potential, deepen their spiritual understanding and walk a path of purposeful service through the ancient tradition of initiation.
Lineage Holders
Every authentic spiritual lineage has designated custodians who are entrusted with preserving its teachings, initiations, and integrity. Within the Modern Mystery School, these custodians are known as the Third Order. Together, they hold the responsibility of safeguarding the Lineage of King Salomon, maintaining the purity of its teachings, and ensuring this ancient tradition remains available to those who sincerely seek the Light.

Third Order
Sovereign Ipsissimus Founder Gudni Gudnason
Gudni Gudnason, often referred to as “Founder Gudni,” is a master metaphorical teacher who imparts metaphysical and esoteric principles using analogy, allegory, and parable. Through humor, theatrics, and fantastical tales, he reveals his hidden wisdom, knowledge, methods, and tools. He uses these methods to allow students to explore their own insights and test the clarity of their discernment. The student is meant to discern a deeper meaning in the stories to question their own preconceived notions and beliefs. He reminds all students that they are their own best teachers, but only through discernment and consideration of alternative perspectives can one come to know what they truly know. If a tool doesn’t resonate with a student, he guides them to another, encouraging them to dive deeper into the mysteries by exploring mythos and the potentialities held within our self-mastery and understanding.
Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon
Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon has been the driving force behind the explosive growth of The Mystery School since he joined the Lineage in 2004, and under his leadership, the school has expanded from 12 countries to 55.
As a lineage holder for the Modern Mystery School in the tradition of King Salomon, he specializes in presenting Hermetic and Esoteric wisdom in practical and actionable ways. Over his decades-long journey on the path of initiation, he has applied his corporate experience to the organization, expanding it into over 50 countries in just a few years at the helm. He has also received the highest initiation in this tradition, that of Sovereign Ipsissimus, granting him the keys to the lineage and anchoring the Mystery School's vision and mission for its tens of thousands of members worldwide.
Sovereign Ipsissimus Hideto Nakegome
Sovereign Ipsissimus Hideto REI Nakagome has been instrumental in the growth of the Mystery School since he joined the lineage in the year 2000. He immediately recognized the importance of the mission of World Peace and wanted to support this undertaking. He has worked passionately ever since.
He comes from a pure Japanese Bushi (Samurai) family and accesses that amazing power in his work within the Modern Mystery School. When teaching, he uses humor and fun so that students relax and enjoy their studies.
Governing Ipsissima and Ipsissimus
Within the Modern Mystery School, the title of Ipsissimus is the highest level of initiation. Those who have attained this level have dedicated many years to the path of initiation, service, and mastery, and have been entrusted by the Third Order with the responsibility of leading, teaching, and preserving specific areas of the lineage. Council of 12 Divinas, International Instructors, and Specialty Teachers
The Modern Mystery School is supported by a global leadership team dedicated to preserving the integrity of the lineage and ensuring the teachings are shared with excellence. Alongside the Third Order and the Council of 12 Divinas, International Instructors and Specialty Teachers serve in leadership roles across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Australasia. They teach locally and internationally, mentor students and Guides, and uphold the high standards of the Modern Mystery School as representatives of the lineage. One of the reasons I chose to dedicate myself to the Modern Mystery School is because of its Culture of Light.
